Annual Christmas Parade of Lights
This year, the McKinney Annual Christmas Parade of Lights will be held on Saturday, December 8th at 6:30 PM. Every year, the parade has tons of different participants that show up in floats, decorated vehicles, and even choreographed groups! These participants have the ability to win prizes from two hundred dollars all the way up to one thousand dollars. If you’re interested in attending this festive parade, there will be parking at the First Baptist Church (1615 W Louisiana St, McKinney, TX 75069) with free trolleys every 15 minutes to and from the parade.
Holidays at the Heard
Come cozy in your warmest clothes and experience Holidays at the Heard, a truly unique holiday event in North Texas. Holidays at the Heard fuses the beauty of the holiday season into nature. Guests will have the opportunity to see lights and holiday décor along a half mile Heard nature trail. In keeping with the Heard’s role as a nature preserve, this light display is designed to enhance the sanctuary’s natural beauty. Children and the young at heart will enjoy the opportunity to take a photo with Father Christmas and Mother Nature in a festive setting. There will also be hot beverages and treats available for purchase. Family-friendly entertainment will help complement the fun holiday atmosphere. All Star Christmas Concert
This holiday concert is going to be one of a kind. It is going to be a true collaboration of Dallas Fort Worth’s most talented musicians including artists like maestro Jason Lim and the Odysseus Chamber Orchestra. Alongside the Odysseus Chamber Orchestra will be William Foley piano trio, Jason Davis on Saxophone, Candace Miller, Keyreel Raskolenko on violin and Ben Katzen on cello. The orchestra will also be having special guest stars like Maylee Thomas, Mayor George Fuller, Andy Timmons, and the Maylee Thomas Band.
